  • The Student shall demonstrate the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and domain knowledge in Electronics and Communication Engineering to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • The student shall demonstrate an ability to design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • The student shall create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • The student shall demonstrate the research-based knowledge and research methods including design and conduct of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • The student shall be able to communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
  • The student shall be able to function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
  • The student shall be able to apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  • The student shall demonstrate ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
  • The student shall be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Engineering and Management Principles as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams considering economical and financial factors. Also, graduates will be able to participate and succeed in competitive examinations.

History

The university was first established in India by legislation of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The university has various campuses in India and across the globe. As a comprehensive university, Amity University offers academic programmes in both traditional and distance learning mode.
Amity University was formed by Ashok Chauhan, the founder of the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation. Amity University is India’s first private university to implement reservations based on caste etc. for both faculty as well as students. The school was started in 2003 with an enrollment of 120 students. In 2011, it had 80,000 students in 240 programs. It now has more than 125,000 students from all over the world.
Atul Chauhan is President of Ritnand Balved Education Foundation and Chancellor of Amity University.Aseem Chauhan is the Additional President of the Foundation. In 2007, USA Today reported that Ashok Chauhan, the founder of Amity, expected that generations of his family will control the school.
In September 2015 the university signed a memorandum of understanding with the BSE Institute, a subsidiary of the Bombay Stock Exchange, to commence a 2-year distance learning MBA programme in global financial markets, that will be open to students and working professionals.
